Floyd Family Foundation's
MAKE A DIFFERENCE INVITATIONAL
Michael Floyd’s Make a Difference Invitational is about using the game we love to create real, lasting change in the lives of youth and children who need it most. It’s rooted in the belief that every child deserves a shot—not just at sports, but at life. A shot at feeling seen, supported, and equipped to chase their dreams. And that’s exactly what this invitational is designed to do.
Michael Floyd, a former NFL star, and proud advocate for youth development , knowing firsthand how important support at the right time can change a kid’s entire life story. He created this Invitational to rally friends, athletes, leaders, and neighbors with a powerful idea in mind: to give today’s youth and kids the kind of chance he got: one filled with possibility, hope, and guidance. It’s not just Michael giving back—it’s him reaching forward, pulling the next generation up with him. And he is inviting you to do the same
So, whether you’re playing in the tournament, supporting as a sponsor, or cheering from the sidelines, know this—your presence matters. You’re part of something far greater than a tournament at a golf course. You’re helping open doors, spark belief, and create opportunities that can last a lifetime.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Floyd Family Foundation
Mission
The Floyd Foundation is committed to providing resources,
opportunities, and mentorship to at-risk youth—primarily young students of
color in the Twin Cities. Through education, athletics, and community
partnerships, the foundation equips youth with the tools to overcome barriers,
build confidence, and achieve lasting success.
Vision
We envision a community where every young person, regardless of
background, has the support and opportunities to reach their full potential in
school, in sport, and in life. By investing in youth and families, the Michael
Floyd Foundation seeks to create generational impact and a stronger, more
equitable Twin Cities.
